Love Your Mother includes two focus areas: 1. Reduce Your Impact: This area includes activities that are environmentally friendly like recycling, conserving energy, and reducing your use of disposable items. Doing things that positively impact the planet fosters a healthy environment in which to live a healthful lifestyle. 2. Increase Your Intake: This focus area includes activities that benefit your physical health like eating more fruits and vegetables and whole grains and making movement a part of your daily routine. Program Particulars Title: Love Your Mother Theme: Participants seek to reduce their impact on the planet by completing simple, everyday eco-friendly activities while also increasing their intake of healthful activities like eating fruits, vegetables, and whole grains as well as incorporating movement into their daily routine. Duration: 4 weeks Wellness Emphases: Environmental and Physical Wellness Goal(s): The goal is for participants to gain an acute awareness of how small changes can have a significant and positive impact on the health of our planet and on our own individual health and well-being. Activities will range from using a reusable canvas sack when purchasing groceries to ensuring you get your full servings of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains as well as incorporating regular physical activity into your day.
