Title: Big Little Things

Theme: In an increasingly stressful world of instant messages, a bombardment of media and advertising, demands on our time from work and home…self-care is often the first activity to be tossed aside. Who has the time or energy for a luxury like self-care when there are deadlines to meet and responsibilities to fulfill?

But, self-care is vital to wellbeing. And the little things are BIG when it comes to self-care.

Self-care is an intentional, daily “check-in” with oneself. It can help to identify areas in need of attention and ensure one is present at work, home, and everywhere in between. By consciously and consistently practicing self-care we can remain attuned to the joys in life.

Duration: 6 weeks

Wellness Emphasis: Self-Care

Goal(s): The goals of “Big Little Things” are:

  • To raise awareness about the impact of self-care on overall wellbeing.
  • To inspire participants to check-in and assess their self-care needs daily.
  • To educate participants about self-care.

Participants will perform a daily self-care check-in assessing their wellbeing and reflect on areas of opportunity and finding balance with self-care. The check-in card encourages participants to reflect on trends during the week and the impact one wellbeing area has on the others. At the conclusion of the challenge, the participant will submit a completion form that includes a series of questions about the individual’s self-care and check-in experiences.
